September 14th Drive-Thru Meeting
Call Meeting to Order: Mia Wesselkamper
Welcome to our September 4-H Meeting! This page will supplement our Drive-Thru Meeting on Wednesday, September 14th from 4:30 to 5:30pm from the parking lot of the Center for the Arts in Sebastopol (282 S. High Street). We hope to see you there as we kick off a new and exciting 4-H year.
Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge
We will be open our Zoom meetings (starting in October) by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge. For our new members, here is the 4-H Pledge.
Roll Call: Emily de Rutte
Emily, our new Vice-President of Membership, will be taking roll at the Drive-Thru meeting and then via Zoom starting in October. If you attend all General Club Meetings, you will earn a 100% Attendance Pin for your hat.
Approval of Minutes: Mia
Rowan, our Recording Secretary, prepares the minutes, which is a record of what happens at our General Meetings. Members review the minutes and then vote to approve them at the following meeting. Here are our minutes from May. Please review to approve at the Drive-Thru.
Treasurer's Report: Clay McDonell
Clay, our Treasurer, does all the bookkeeping for the Club and prepares a monthly financial report to share with the members. Here is Clay's report for the summer:

For the months of July and August, there was no income. The total expenses for the month was $177.40 for the african library project. The closing balance was $6887.78.
Correspondence Report: Leo McDonell
Leo, our Correspondence Secretary, sends thank you notes and other letters and records any incoming correspondence on behalf of the club. Here is his report for the summer:

"Over the summer I sent two notes at Mia’s request to Rotary and Interact members thanking them for their donations to cover shipping costs for our African Library Project shipment. I did not receive any correspondence."
Programming: Wilder Larrain
Wilder, our Vice President of Programming, will be organizing club activites and guest speakers for our General Meetings. For this month, Wilder created a survey so that members can share what programming ideas they would like to see this year. Here is the link to her survey:
Community Service: Millie Wright
Millie, our new Community Service Officer, will be planning special events and activities to help and support others in need. Here is the September activity:

"For this month, club members will be writing a letter to senior citizens, many of whom are isolated because of COVID-19. The organization we will be sending them to is called Love for Our Elders. It is a national non-profit, that was created by Jacob Cramer when he was a teenager and the board consists of young people too. I chose this organization because it not only is helping seniors, but shows how you can do something amazing, like start a non-profit, no matter how young you are. I will have letter writing supplies at the meeting, but you can find out more about Love for Our Elders and how to send more letters in the link below."
Committee Reports
While we are not able to meet in person, the best way to keep informed of committee reports and other club news will be to read our monthly newsletter. Satleen, our new Editor, has produced a very interesting and informative first issue. Here is the issue if you haven't had a chance to read it yet.
Healthy Living Report: Quinn Craven-Pittman
Quinn, our Healthy Living Officer, provides ideas, activities and information every month to help club members make healthy choices. For this month, Quinn will be hosting a snack bar with healthy options at the Drive-Thru this Wednesday.
