Independence 4-H Club will pick up your edible Christmas tree

in Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Cotati or Windsor.

and feed it to goats at local farms, who will enjoy it as a treat and return it to the soil.

Trees that are too dry for goat tummies will be composted the conventional way.

 

To keep the goats safe:

• Please remove any decorations (watch out for those ornament hangers!)

• No flocked trees

Our club is run by youth with the support of adult volunteers. Your donations support kids in our club with basic operations, project grants, leadership and skills development and community service projects.
During Covid, we lost access to our regular fundraisers and this is our sustainable response. Our fundraising campaign goals are to provide a useful, environmentally-friendly service and to sustain our club.
